Sweet Melissa Café was established in 1999 by owner Melissa Murphy. For the last 20 years, we have been the only restaurant in Wyoming that can guarantee a 100% vegetarian menu, offering a wide variety of vegan and gluten-sensitive options.
In December 2009, the business expanded and the adjacent bar, Front Street Tavern, was added. Initially intended to be a waiting area for customers of the café, the bar quickly established itself as a Laramie nightlife favorite.
Sweet Melissa Café and Front Street Tavern has won several Laramie Locals’ Choice Awards, including Best Appetizer, Best Dessert, and Best Cocktail.
Over the years, Sweet Melissa Café and Front Street Tavern has developed a loyal customer base and has become a staple in Laramie’s downtown community.
